John Wall’s Chase Down Block Creates Three Pointer for Wizards

Memo to all NBA players: No shot is safe around John Wall.

The sooner that gets around, maybe some will notice and respect his range. Wall said earlier this season he was the best shot-blocking point guard in NBA history and once again he made a tough argument for his case. His latest victim was Atlanta Hawks’ Kent Bazemore.

Bazemore appeared to have a quick two points on a layup. Except, Wall was lurking from the weak side of Bazemore’s drive. Wall showed his athleticism and swatted the shot attempt off the backboard.

That momentum of the block allowed the Wizards turn possession into transition, ending with a corner three pointer from Markieff Morris. Wall’s efforts turned the sequence into a five-point turnaround.

Wall finished with two blocks, giving him five in his last two games with two being of a chase down. The Wizards went on to blowout the Hawks 113-94.
