Kirk Cousins Feeds His Offensive Line Turkey

Kirk Cousins completed 19-of-31 passes for 242 yards and two touchdowns, including the go-ahead score in the fourth quarter when he found Josh Doctson to beat the New York Giants 20-10. Following the victory, Cousins along with Jamison Crowder and Ryan Kerrigan were invited to the postgame festivities with the NBC telecast.

Cousins brought his entire offensive line. Yeah, the same depleted, makeshift offensive line that allowed him to be sacked six times in Thursday’s win. As Michele Tafoya instructed the three stars of the game to take bites out of their turkey legs, Cousins fed his leg to his offensive line one-by-one.

It was a comical sight, yet telling moment for Cousins. The leader who doesn’t want to take a lot of credit and deflects blame from his teammates, was feeding his offensive line — again who allowed him to be dropped six times.

No fret, with a pending free agency or a third franchise tag from the Redskins, it’s safe to assume Cousins will eventually get his bite to eat of a different variety.
