Wizards’ Tim Frazier Reportedly to Meet with Doctors after Suffering Nasal Fracture

The Washington Wizards were already in search of depth at point guard according to reports. Now, they may need to rev up their search. Backup point guard Tim Frazier left Saturday night’s win against the Chicago Bulls in the first half after taking a knee to the face from Bobby Portis.

The Wizards announced Frazier was diagnosed a nasal fracture. Now, Chris Miller of NBC Sports Washington reports that Frazier’s injury may require surgery.

Frazier posted on Twitter following the game, the obvious reality.

Washington already had a huge hole at point guard, as star John Wall is out several more weeks after a knee injury required a surgical procedure last month. Then later on in Saturday’s game in Chicago, Tomas Satoransky suffered a lacerated head and was entered into the NBA concussion protocol after a nasty fall orchestrated by a flagrant foul from Portis.

Reportedly, Washington is interested in Derrick Rose — as well as Ramon Sessions. The Wizards have one more game — Feb. 14 against the New York Knicks — before the All-Star break. Their next game after that will be on Feb. 23. Wall is not expected back until late March. The prognosis on Frazier and Satoransky’s health will dictate Washington’s urgency to sign an additional point guard.
