Game 2’s hero, Braden Holtby was playing exceptionally well in Game 3 holding off the Vegas Golden Knights for the first 43 minute or so. However, he lost his shutout after a baffling turnover turned into a goal for the Golden Knights.

Holtby tried to clear the puck off the boards behind the net, however, his pass was deflected by Vegas’ Pierre-Edouard Bellemare. Tomas Nosek raced in and deposited the loose puck into the net to give the Golden Knights their first goal of Game 3.
The goal cut the Washington Capitals’ lead in half at 2-1. It’s certain to be a play that Holtby wishes to have back. He and the Washington faithful can only hope his gaffe does not turn the tide of Game 3 completely around.
