John Carlson Blasts One-Timer Power Play Goal from Alex Ovechkin’s Office

Usually it’s Alex Ovechkin setting up shop from his office to fire off a power play goal. This time tho, it was defenseman John Carlson, firing off a hot one-timer past Marc-Andre Fleury to extend the Washington Capitals’ lead over the Vegas Golden Knights to 4-0 in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final.

The Capitals were able to keep the Vegas penalty kill off balanced with great puck movement. T.J. Oshie levels Cody Eakin with a good clean hit that frees Carlson on the right circle. Evgeny Kuznetsov swung the puck to Carlson before he deposited the puck in the net.

It’a been #ALLCAPS thus far in Game 4. They fired off three goals in the first period and kept the momentum going in the second by killing off two Vegas’ power plays. The Capitals, however, have taken care of their man-advantages, going a perfect 2-for-2 on their power plays.

The Capitals head into the second intermission with a four-goal lead, looking ahead to just 20 minutes away from taking a commanding 3-1 series lead.
