The Washington Redskins are not done signing wide receivers. Just hours after the reports broke that the Redskins signed former 2015 first-round pick Breshad Perriman, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network is reporting the Washington is adding another wide receiver, Michael Floyd.

Floyd is also considered a first-round bust like Perriman. Floyd struggled with violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy that had him play for three separate teams in the last two seasons.

In 2016, he was released by the Arizona Cardinals, the team that drafted him, following a DUI arrest. He was claimed by the New England Patriots for the final two games of the season anand appeared in their Super Bowl LI win. He signed with the Minnesota Vikings last season appearing in 11 games after being suspended for the four games for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.

This year, Floyd spent training camp and preseason with the New Orleans Saints before being released in final cuts.

For his career he has 265 catches for 3,859 and 24 touchdowns, however, 47 catches over the last two seasons.

If focused and healthy, Floyd could provide the Redskins a possession receiver it desperately misses. However, the 28-year old has his inner demons and while the signing is low risk, high reward, he will have to overcome those demons to be effective.

The Redskins have announced they waived wide receiver Jehu Chesson, who played well on special teams. No official word has been announced about the signings of neither Floyd nor Perriman.
