Scott Brooks Praises Dwight Howard: ‘I Like His Smile, He’s a Good Looking Guy’

Dwight Howard’s second game with the Washington Wizards was much better than his debut. For starters, the Wizards got the much-needed win over the New York Knicks, but they saw the difference with having Howard as opposed to Ian Mahinmi manning the starting center position.

Howard had a team-high 10 rebounds in the 108-95 win to go along with 10 points. It was just the second outing in their first nine games this season a Wizards player had double-digit rebounds. He also showed glimpses of his presence within the offense, being able to collect and handle the ball up top to allow guards Bradley Beal and John Wall to be more effective in the high post pick-and-roll.

Howard also gives the Wizards a great presence in the middle of their defense that was not there. Howard also finished with a plus-27 rating.

Head coach Scott Brooks raved about Howard, including his good looks.

The saying goes to something like “look good, play good.” That appears to be Howard’s case at least according to Brooks. It will be interesting to see how flattered Howard is about his coach’s compliments.
