Washington Nationals catcher Kurt Suzuki had his ear busted after taking a Stephen Strasburg pitch off his ear.
Strasburg inadvertently drilled Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Jesus Aguilar on the side, and the ball then ricocheted and hit Suzuki in the ear.
Suzuki stayed in the game like a trooper, but the sequence was just an example of how the Nationals’ season has turned thus far. After dropping Tuesday’s game 6-0, Washington fell to a record of 14-21.
