The Washington Wizards are among several teams interested in Justin Holiday, according to the Athletic.
Holiday, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard, split last season with the Chicago Bulls and Memphis Grizzlies. He averaged 10.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists.
The Grizzlies are opened to a sign-and-trade with him.
Washington is in need of depth at the wing both at shooting guard and small forward, after losing Trevor Ariza and possibly Jabari Parker this summer.
Holiday would add depth and the ability to hit threes on the wing. Last season, 5.7 of his 9.5 shot attempts were threes. He shot 34.8% from three and 44.2% on two-point shots.
While Holiday needs to improve on his dribbling penetration, his ability to space the floor with his three point shooting would be ideal fit for the Wizards’ Bradley Beal and newly acquired Isaiah Thomas and Ish Smith.
Keep in mind there are several other teams interested according to the report, so the odds are stacked against Washington.
