WATCH: Juan Soto Makes Leaping Grab at Left Field Wall

Rhys Hoskins of the Philadelphia Phillies thought he had at least an extra base hit, when he hit a fly ball off Stephen Strasburg to the left field wall. That is until Washington Nationals’ young phenom Juan Soto made a leaping grab to rob Hoskins.

Hoskins looked flabbergasted by Soto’s defensive play.

Soto has been known for his bat, hitting .300 with 15 home runs and 56 RBIs entering the second half of the season. But, he has Friday he showed the ability to flash his glove in the outfield.

Soto’s effort preserved the Nationals’ 3-0 lead through four innings.

One-half game separates Nationals from the Phillies. Both teams currently hold the two NL wild card spots entering Friday. In such a pivotal series, every play matters, and Juan Soto leaping along the left field wall may go a long way for the Nationals.
