Victor Robles is taking ownership of the Nationals’ centerfield position. The 22-year old showed on national television, why he (along with Juan Soto) was dubbed the two-headed monster to replace Bryce Harper in Washington.
Sunday, Victor Robles flashed his powerful arm, throwing out Braves’ young star Ronald Acuna Jr. trying to stretch out a double.
Robles’ seven outfield assists leads all National League center fielders. He also leads all NL outfielders with outs above average.
Robles’ bat has not been too shabby either — hitting .252 with 14 home runs, 33 extra base hits, and 45 RBIs. But, his glove and arm has given Washington the long-term answer at center field they’ve been waiting for quite sometime.
