WATCH: Victor Robles Throws Out Runner at Third with Another Cannon Throw

The Cincinnati Reds obviously have not learned their lesson from Monday night. Do not run on Victor Robles!

A night after throwing out Joey Votto at home by a mile, the Washington Nationals center fielder caught another victim. This time Jose Peraza tried to test his luck off a Jesse Winker single into the right-center gap.

Rounding past second Peraza seemed to be destined for third base, however, Robles aired another one of his cannon throws right at Nationals third baseman Anthony Rendon, who caught the ball on an angle before twisting around to tag Peraza before his sliding foot could touch the bag.

It was an excellent combination of a great throw and arguably an equally amazing tag from Robles and Rendon, respectively.

Following the outfield assist, Robles did his best Dikembe Mutombo impersonation by waving his finger while emulating Michael Jordan with the tongue hang both at the same time.

Robles has now back-to-back outfield assists with throws of 97-plus miles per hour, according to MLB’s Statcast.

Seemingly every highlight of Robles must include the facts that he leads all MLB with outs above average. That play also momentarily ties him with Boston’s Jackie Bradley Jr. for the most outfield assists among center fielders in MLB.
