The Washington Redskins may be forced to do some reshuffling at offensive line Sunday against the New York Giants due to two key injuries.
Center Chase Roullier has been ruled out with a knee injury. Tony Bergstrom is expected to start at center in his place. Meanwhile, right guard Brandon Scherff will be a game-time decision with an ankle injury. If he is unable to play, rookie and fourth-round pick Wes Martin will start in his place at right guard, according to Rhiannon Walker of the Athletic.
Sunday would be Martin’s first regular season action of his NFL career. He and fellow rookie Ross Pierschbacher have been inactive in each of the Redskins’ first three games.
If Scherff cannot play, the Redskins offensive line would presumably be Donald Penn at left tackle; Ereck Flowers at left guard; Bergstrom at center; Martin at right guard; and Morgan Moses at right tackle.
