A day after going 3-for-4 and driving in four runs, Gerardo Parra was back at it against the Cleveland Indians. Parra went 2-for-2, including a grand slam to cap a nine-run second inning for the Washington Nationals.
Parra smoked a fastball from Cleveland pitcher Plunkto over the center field wall, sending the patrons at Nationals Park into a “Baby Shark” euphoria.
Besides a “Curly W” the main attraction for many Nationals fans is “Baby Shark” sparked by Parra’s newfound walk-up music.
Parra turned to the lullaby to help him plowed out of a June slump. It worked and every since, the song has cultivated the Washington Nationals and their fans.
Parra now has eight home runs and 39 RBIs in 186 at-bats this season for the Nationals. The Nationals, Parra, and fans are thanking the San Francisco Giants for releasing him back in May.
