Runs are at a premium in the NLCS, and defensive stops are to be treasured. The Nationals continue to make more than their counterpart the St. Louis Cardinals, as exemplified by third baseman Anthony Rendon.
Rendon snagged a line headed between the gap at short, to throw out Paul DeJong in the third inning.
Anthony Rendon has been clutch at the plate, hitting .346 with five runs batted in and seven walks in the postseason. He has also been clutch with the glove, to keep the Cardinals off the scoreboard throughout this series.
