WATCH: The Moment the Nationals Clinch Club’s First-Ever World Series Championship

There are plenty of memories from this historic World Series championship run by the Washington Nationals. But, the moment, the final out, will stick out.

After Max Scherzer held the fort, Patrick Corbin came out of the bullpen for three magnificent innings. The Nationals offense work up in the seventh and got to Zach Greinke, forcing the Houston Astros to go into their bullpen.

That’s when the engine got rolling, as the Nationals took a 6-2 lead into the ninth. Closer Daniel Hudson came on and finished the deal with a perfect 1-2-3 frame. Hudson got Michael Brantley to strike out swinging, clinching the Nationals’ first-ever World Series title.

Stephen Strasburg, who won both Game 2 and 6 on the road of the World Series, took home the MVP of the series.
