Washington Capitals forward Carl Hagelin scored his first goal of the season thanks to a beautiful between the legs assist from teammate Richard Panik.
Panik got tangled up in from the net but before falling he passed the puck threw his legs before Hagelin beat Columbus Blue Jackets goalie Joonas Korpisalo for the goal.
Hagelin’s score off the nifty assist from Panik tied the game at 1-1 in the third period.
Panik’s assist is sure to go viral and be on all the highlight reels through the night. It could possibly be a strong candidate for assist of the season in the NHL.
