Dwayne Haskins planning to have offseason workouts with Redskins WRs in Florida

There has been a lot said about the perceived work ethic of Redskins quarterback Dwayne Haskins. Through all the ruckus, Haskins must show growth to dispel any naysayers.

Entering his second year, he needs to show maturity and plant the seeds of being a leader. Tuesday at the NFL Combine Redskins VP of Player Personnel Kyle Smith may have revealed an inkling towards Haskins improving in both areas.

Smith told reporters Haskins is planning to bring down the young Redskins wide receivers for offseason workouts in Florida.

Smith did not provide much more details. However, it is expected that former Ohio State teammate Terry McLaurin, Kelvin Harmon and Steven Sims Jr. will be in the Sunshine State with Haskins.

It’s usually always refreshing hearing a quarterback working out with his wide receivers in the offseason. It’s more invigorating when the said quarterback is entering his second year in the league.

Last season, Haskins showed glimpses of his potential throwing the football to his fellow trio of rookies at wide receiver. The four (and any additional members) joining can go a long way in their development.
