Count Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey as someone rooting for Washington Redskins quarterback Dwayne Haskins. Ramsey tweeted a positive take on Haskins, saying “I’m rooting for you.”
Ramsey’s tweet appears to be in response of another detractor of Haskins’.
Apparently, NFL.com’s Gil Brandt had a negative review of Haskins, prompting Ramsey to come in his defense. Keep in mind, Brandt was a longtime NFL executive, spending 28 years with the Dallas Cowboys.
Haskins has his fair share of critics after he struggled through his rookie season. Whether it has been media, fans or coaches, many have been skeptical about his chances to succeed in the NFL.
Haskins has been working out intensely this offseason in hopes of dispelling the narrative of his career after just one season. He will have to fend off the competition of Kyle Allen for the Redskins starting quarterback position.
For Ramsey, his positive outlook on Haskins is a different tune from two years ago when rambled critique through a full list of NFL QB’s. However, now wiser, Ramsey says he wants to speak more positive, starting with Haskins.
