Washington Redskins rookie wide receiver Antonio Gandy-Golden has recovered from a bout with COVID-19. Burgundy Blog was the first to report the news.
Gandy-Golden released a statement through his agent, say he tested positive in March while doing his pre-draft training. He was fully cleared April 7.
The Redskins selected Gandy-Golden in the fourth round of this year’s NFL Draft.
Gandy-Golden piled up impressive numbers in two seasons after Liberty moved up to FBS from FCS. He had 150 catches for 2,433 yards and 20 touchdowns in that span.
With his on-field speed matching with his size 6-foot-4, 223 pounds, Gandy-Golden has a great opportunity to a huge contributor in the Redskins’ passing game.
