First look at Washington Football Team’s new end zone painting

Sunday Washington hosts the Philadelphia Eagles at FedEx Field. With the name change, Washington has a new end zone painting. The Washington Football Team’s re-branding is ongoing. New logo, new helmets, adjusted uniforms and now a new end zone painting.

“Washington Football Team Est. 1932” is painted in gold with a burgundy background.

As their midfield logo, the NFL shield replaces Washington’s former chief logo.

Washington retired its previous name and logo in July after pressure from sponsors calling the name racist and disparaging against Native Americans.

The team will be referred to as the “Washington Football Team” throughout the 2020 season. A permanent name will be selected in the near future, but the burgundy and gold color scheme won’t be changed.
