Landon Collins didn’t have a great start to Sunday’s game against on the opening drive. He got juked by Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray on what should have been a touchdown, but was negated by a penalty. That was followed by a defensive holding penalty on the Washington Football Team safety.
Three plays later, Collins blew a zone coverage that led to a wide-opened DeAndre Hopkins touchdown.
Fabian Moreau appears to turn Hopkins over to the middle of the field to drop down on another Cardinals receiver crossing underneath. However, Collins never recognized Hopkins crossing behind him until it was too late.
Collins immediately knew he blew the coverage, throwing his hands on his helmet.
Don’t fret, Collins redeemed himself the next Washington defensive drive, intercepting Kyler Murray on a beautiful break for the ball.
