Ryan Kerrigan, Steven Sims DNP in practice with toe injuries

The Washington Football Team released its initial injury report for Week 3 against the Cleveland Browns. The good news is cornerback Kendall Fuller was not listed on the report. The bad news, defensive end Ryan Kerrigan and wide receiver Steven Sims Jr. were listed.

Both Kerrigan and Sims did not participate in Wednesday’s practice with toe injuries.

Linebacker Thomas Davis was also a DNP with an illness. Fellow linebacker Cole Holcomb missed practice with a knee injury that held him out of Sunday’s loss to Arizona.

Rookie offensive tackle Saadhiq Charles (leg) also was held out of practice. Charles has been inactive for each of the first two games this season with a calf injury. Defensive end Ryan Anderson (knee) was also listed as a DNP.

Right tackle Morgan Moses was limited with a hip.

One good sign is Fuller. He has yet to play for Washington this season, missing the first two games with a knee injury. This is the first practice he was not listed on the injury report this season.

Sims briefly left Sunday’s game against the Cardinals but returned. He is Washington’s second-leading receiver with 103 yards on six catches, playing on over 86% of the offense’s snaps through two games. He’s also Washington’s primary kick and punt returner.

Meanwhile, Kerrigan and Anderson are part of Washington’s four-man rotation at defensive end. Kerrigan is second on the team with two sacks, averaging 22.5 snaps through two weeks.
