The Washington Football Team has signed linebacker Jared Norris to the 53-man roster from their practice squad. Norris will take the place of injured running back Bryce Love, who was placed on injured reserve with a swollen knee.
Norris had been elevated twice this season from the practice squad under the new CBA rules. A third elevation would have required him being signed to the 53-man roster. An opening appeared with the setback for Love.
Jared Norris has played 37 snaps on special teams this season, replacing the injured Cole Holcomb (knee) in each of the last two games. Holcomb has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.
