Washington Football Team wide receiver Dontrelle Inman was fined $4,412 for unsportsmanlike conduct in Week 3’s loss to the Cleveland Browns. Inman flexed on Browns safety Andrew Sendejo after catching the first of his two touchdowns in the game. He was flagged on the play for taunting.
While the NFL did not, it’s hard not to forgive Inman for excessive celebration following the score. It was his first touchdown since December 30, 2018.
He spent the 2019 season bouncing around his second stints with the Los Angeles Chargers and Indianapolis Colts. He signed with Washington this off-season, emerging as the No. 2 receiver behind Terry McLaurin.
Ironically, Inman joked earlier this week about avoiding a fine for disclosing the severity of a wrist injury he suffered against the Browns. He will be looking to duplicate his success from last week’s game (not the fine), when Washington takes on the Baltimore Ravens Sunday.
