Terry McLaurin expected to play with thigh injury vs. Ravens

Despite nursing a thigh injury, Washington Football Team wide receiver Terry McLaurin is expected to play Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

His presence on the field will surely be a boost for Washington’s passing game against one of the league’s best secondaries in the Ravens led by cornerbacks Marlon Humphrey, Marcus Peters and Jimmy Smith.

McLaurin popped on Washington’s injury report Thursday with the injury after being limited in practice. He did not practice Friday, increasing concern over his status for the game.

McLaurin has been blossomed into Washington’s top receiving target since being drafted in the third round in 2019 out of Ohio State. Despite the struggles of second-year quarterback Dwayne Haskins and the offense, McLaurin has shined.

He leads the team with 16 catches and 269 yards this season. He also leads all NFL wide receivers with 174 yards after the catch and only trails New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara among all players.
