The Minnesota Vikings are poaching defensive end Jordan Brailford off the Washington Football Team practice squad, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Brailford was a seventh-round pick of Washington’s in 2019. Brailford was first-team All-Big XII in his final season at Oklahoma State in 2018. He spent his rookie season on injured reserve after suffering an injury in training camp.
This season, Brailford failed to make the 53-man roster, as Washington is loaded at defensive end with Chase Young, Montez Sweat, Ryan Kerrigan and Ryan Anderson. Brailford was signed to the practice squad shortly after being released during final cuts.
The Vikings are in need of help at defensive end to play opposite of Yannick Ngakoue. Their Pro Bowl pass rusher Danielle Hunter was placed on injured reserve before the season with a neck injury. After five games he has yet to be activated to the active roster.
