Sunday pitted the first overall pick of this year’s NFL Draft against the second overall pick, as Joe Burrow quarterbacked the Cincinnati Bengals against defensive end Chase Young and the Washington Football Team. The two spotlighted players met at the goal line in a violent collision.
On a fourth-down play, Burrow broke the pocket headed to the end zone. However, the mammoth Young lit Burrow up, blasting the ball free into the end zone. The ball was ultimately recovered by Washington’s Ronald Darby following an official review.
In nine games, Burrow has proven through his play, why he was selected first overall last April. Young has been held relatively quiet when it comes to sacks with 3.5 this season, but he has checked all the boxes as a rookie, proving to a be an unmovable force.
Sunday, Burrow learned just how unmovable Chase Young is, as he laid the boom.
