Washington Football Team wide receiver Terry McLaurin went full DK Metcalf, saving a pick-six by chasing down Dallas Cowboys linebacker Jaylon Smith.
Washington led 20-13 in the third quarter when Jaylon Smith appeared headed to the end zone after intercepting Washington quarterback Alex Smith. However, McLaurin hustled down the field, blew past a failed block by Leighton Vander Esch before taking down Smith at the 4-yard line.
McLaurin’s hustle paid off, as Washington defense held the Cowboys to a field goal. Instead of potentially tying the game, the Cowboys settled for three points only to cut their deficit to 20-16.
With first place in the NFC East on the line, the tremendous play by McLaurin may prove pivotal in the outcome of the game.
