Tempers flared during Thursday’s preseason game between Detroit Pistons and Washington Wizards when Blake Griffin threw Thomas Bryant to the floor. Bryant got up in frustration charging at Griffin, prompting a chuckle from the Pistons forward.

After shoving Griffin, Bryant pushed aside the hands of an official and teammate Moe Wagner trying to hold him back. Ultimately, cooler heads prevailed. Griffin was assessed a flagrant-1 foul, while Bryant received a technical foul for his reaction.

The game turned out to be a frustrating night for the Wizards big man. He had five turnovers in the first half, and shot a dismal 2-of-7 from the field in the game. The Wizards trailed by 21 at the time of the exchange. Bryant also received a second technical for hanging on the rim, although he was not ejected from the game.

The Pistons ultimately won the game 97-86. The same two teams play Saturday to close out their preseason schedule.
