The legendary Tom Brady granted Chase Young his wish. Following Washington’s wild card round loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week, Brady and the rookie defensive end shook hands exchanging their respect for one another.
Young had one request of the greatest quarterback ever… his game worn jersey.
“I appreciate you. You the real GOAT,” Young said to Brady. “I need something from you, though. I need this off of you.”
Brady said he would send it to him. Indeed, he did. One week later, Young showed off the signed jersey on his Instagram page.
“Chase, Best of Luck!” Brady wrote on the jersey. As a Michigan alum, he made sure to include “Go Blue” to Young the Ohio State product — a reminder of the Big Ten rivalry.
Young’s proclamation of “I want Tom” made headlines leading into last week’s playoff clash. However, it was all out of respect as the potential Defensive Rookie of the Year clarified to the media and later to Brady before the game.
Washington and the Buccaneers are slated to play each other during the 2021 regular season. So, the legend and the young stud may get another opportunity to compete against each other.
