Watch: Wizards stun Nets with wild six-point rally in 3.8 seconds

The Washington Wizards appeared headed to another defeat, trailing the Brooklyn Nets by five with 12.3 seconds. However, a Bradley Beal three, steal by Garrison Mathews and followed by a three from Russell Westbrook capped off an insane rally in 3.8 seconds.

The wild sequence propelled the Wizards to stun the Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving-led Nets for a 149-146 win.

For much of the night the Wizards were a step behind. The Nets built an 18-point lead, but Washington chipped away to get close. A Westbrook layup tied the game at 141-141 late in the fourth quarter. But, by the time Irving made a pair a free throws, the Wizards were down five.

At that moment, the Wizards had 2% chance to win the game.

Beal hit a long three that wasted no time. Mathews made a great hustle play to get the steal off the inbounds and Westbrook finished the rally with the three off the wing to give Washington the lead.

Westbrook finished with a game-high 41 points, he was two assists away from a triple-double. Beal finished with 37 points. Mathews had three steals in the game.

With the win, the Wizards are 2-0 on the season against the Nets. Washington is 2-12 against the rest of the NBA.
