Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin scored his 710th NHL goal Sunday in the first period against the Philadelphia Flyers. However, it was his beautiful assist on a Tom Wilson goal that has the hockey world buzzing.
Ovechkin charged towards the circle before crossing up Flyers defender Philippe Myers. Ovechkin froze goalie Charlie Hart before dropping off the puck for Wilson to deposit for the score.

With him being seventh on the NHL all-time scoring list, Ovechkin is known for his ability to score goals. However, he drop dimes as well. The Flyers defense hesitated thinking he would fire off one of his patented slap shots. Yet, he fooled the defense leading to the deke.
