Watch: Kyle Schwarber crushes 463-foot walk-off home run

Kyle Schwarber picked a perfect time to deliver his “Schwarbomb” with his new team the Washington Nationals. Tied 0-0 against the Arizona Diamondbacks in the ninth inning, Schwarber destroyed a sinker from Alex Young for a walk-off home run, Friday night.

MASN Sports play-by-play announcer Bob Carpenter knew it was gone at the crack of the bat. “There it goes!” Carpenter stated in euphoria. The ball traveled 463 feet, reaching the second deck in right field.

Kyle Schwarber signed a one-year deal with the Nationals after seven seasons with the Chicago Cubs. He missed the first six games due to COVID-19 protocols. Thus, his start in Washington has been relatively quiet until Friday’s big swing.
