Wizards forward Rui Hachimura out vs. Thunder with knee soreness

Washington Wizards forward Rui Hachimura will miss Monday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder with left knee soreness, the team announced Sunday. Center Alex Len is questionable for the game with left ankle soreness.

Both Hachimura and Len exited early in Saturday’s win over the Detroit Pistons. Hachimura played 23 minutes and finished with six points. Len played seven minutes, scoring eight points.

After averaging 17 points on 50.8% shooting from the field in March, Hachimura has struggled recently. He has been limited to six or less points in four of his last five games.

Monday will be the 10th game missed this season for Hachimura. A shoulder injury forced him to miss two games earlier this month.

Expect Jordan Bell, who is playing on a 10-day contract to get an uptick in minutes against the Thunder. If Len is unable to play Robin Lopez and the emerging Daniel Gafford will likely split the available minutes at center.
