Washington Football Team signs entire 2021 draft class

On the eve of its rookie minicamp, the Washington Football Team moved quickly and signed its entire 2021 draft class.

Third-round pick cornerback Benjamin St-Juste was the first signing to be reported. Next, the signing of fifth-round pick safety Darrick Forrest was made public via the agency that represents him.

Shortly afterwards, the team announced its entire draft class has been signed. That includes first-round pick linebacker Jamin Davis out of Kentucky. He was the 19th overall pick.

Washington other signees are offensive tackle Samuel Cosmi (second round), wide receiver Dyami Brown (third round), tight end John Bates (fourth round), long snapper Camaron Cheeseman (sixth round), defensive end William Bradley-King (seventh round), defensive end Shaka Toney (seventh round) and wide receiver Dax Milne (seventh round).

Currently, details of St-Juste and Forrest are only known.

St-Juste signed a four-year deal worth $5,100,758 with a signing bonus of $1,069,640, according to Nicki Jhabvala of the Washington Post.

Forrest signed a four-year deal that is worth $3.791 million, according Jhabvala.

The 6-foot St-Juste initially started his collegiate career at Michigan but transferred to Minnesota, where he worked up the depth chart. He had 59 tackles and 11 passes defensed in 18 games with the Golden Gophers between 2019-2020.

Scouting projections have St-Juste possibly making a switch to safety. However, Washington defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio has proclaimed St-Juste will play cornerback for them.

Forrest is projected to be a special teams contributor at least initially. But his range and speed could translate into a more prominent role as he develops. He played 49 games while at the University of CIncinnati, where he caught six interceptions during his collegiate career.
