Maryland savagely trolls Texas for interest in joining SEC

Texas and Oklahoma are reportedly leaving the Big 12 Conference for the SEC. Right now the SEC and Big Ten are financially the giants of college football. While the SEC seems more like a natural fit for the Longhorns and Sooners, it didn’t stop the Maryland Terrapins of the Big Ten from seizing the opportunity to take a jab at Texas.

Maryland savagely trolled the Longhorns through it’s Twitter account.

The Terrapins are not much of a factor in the Big Ten when it comes to football. But, Maryland holds bragging rights over Texas, beating the Longhorns in back-to-back years in 2017 and 2018.

Maryland hung 51 on the Longhorns in 2017 in Austin. Then in 2018 Terps outlasted Texas 34-29 at FedEx Field in Maryland.

It’s safe to say Texas may not be too worried about a perennial bottom team in the Big Ten East. They have bigger fish to fry. But, don’t be too mad that Maryland is not going to let go of their two marquee wins over the Longhorns.
