Chargers use ‘Sesame Street’ to hilariously troll WFT with the letter ‘L’ after Week 1 win

The Los Angeles Chargers pulled off a hard-fought 20-16 win on the road against the Washington Football Team. Following the win, the Chargers social media team hilariously trolled Washington and it’s temporary logo.

The Chargers summoned the “Sesame Street” gang led by the lovable Elmo. They presented the letter of the day, which happened to be an “L” in the styling of Washington’s logo.

Even in defeat, one has to admit the Tweet was funny.

The Chargers dominated the game in most stats. They had 27 first downs, including 14-of-19 on third-down conversions. The Chargers ran 78 plays for 424 yards in comparison to Washington’s 49 plays and 259 yards.

Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen even joked he warned Washington defensive end Chase Young before his game-sealing catch late in the fourth quarter.

But the loss for Washington is no laughing matter. They lost starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick in the second quarter to a “serious” hip injury. They’ll face the challenge of a quick turnaround as they host the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football. But this “L” will sting a couple more days.
