Patrick Mahomes ends first half with worst interception of career

The Kansas City Chiefs appear to be in a rut they cannot get out of. The defense is one of the worse in the NFL. And their offense is turning over the football at an alarming rate.

Sunday, they were plagued by three turnovers in the first half against the Washington Football Tea, including two interceptions by quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Both coming in the red zone.

The first bounced off the hands of Tyreek Hill. But the second was totally on Mahomes.

The play started off bad with a bobbled snap. Mahomes picked the ball up and not wanting to take a sack, inexplicably threw the ball up off balanced right into the hands of Washington safety Bobby McCain.

It was just a brutal decision by Patrick Mahomes. Often times he’s completed awkward off-balanced throws. This time he may have wanted to do something else instead of tossing a balloon in the air.
