Aaron Rodgers connects with Davante Adams for 17-yard TD on 4th-and-3

Facing a 4th and 3 in the red zone against one of the worst defenses in the NFL, going for it was a no-brainer for Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay Packers offense.

Rodgers improvised on the broken down play and found a wide open Davante Adams who did the rest reaching the end zone for the 17-yard touchdown.

Washington had the play well defended initially. But, as Rodgers scrambled to the outside with Chase Young in pursuit, Washington cornerback Danny Johnson lost sight of Adams.

Earlier on the drive, Rodgers broke free for a 15-yard scramble on a 3rd and 11 for the first down. Johnson’s eyes peaking towards Rodgers had a lot to do with the earlier play. Unfortunately, doing so unglued Adams — the most dangerous player on the field not named Rodgers.
