Washington CB William Jackson out vs. Packers with knee injury

The Washington Football Team will be without its top cornerback Sunday against the Green Bay Packers. William Jackson III has been ruled out with a knee injury, according to multiple reports. The Athletic’s Ben Standig was the first to report Jackson being inactive.

Jackson was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday. Then did not participate in Friday’s practice. He made the trip with the team to Green Bay. But, his status for the game remained up in the air until near game-time.

Kendall Fuller and rookie Benjamin St-Juste are set to play. However, Washington will have to do some reshuffling with Jackson out. Team team already lost Tory McTyer for the season to a torn ACL. Thus, they’ll have to turn to Corn Elder, Danny Johnson or former safety Troy Apke in Jackson’s absence.

Neither three have played a defensive snap this season. Washington’s secondary will look to contain the Packers’ passing attack led by quarterback Aaron Rodgers and wide receiver Davante Adams.
