Chase Young feared to have suffered torn ACL

The Washington Football Team may have been dealt a huge blow going forward. Star defensive end Chase Young feared to have suffered a torn ACL, according to multiple reports. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network was the first to reveal the news.

Young went down in the second quarter of Washington’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Young was rushing off the edge against Buccaneers left tackle Donovan Smith, when Young went down with no contact. He immediately favored his right knee.

A cart was brought out for Young, but the 2020 Defensive Rookie of the Year waved the cart off.

He was assisted to the locker room, without putting much weight on the leg. The team quickly ruled him out of the game with a knee injury.

Young will be evaluated further this week to officially reveal the extent of his injury. Washington is already without 2019 first-round draft pick defensive end Montez Sweat. Sweat is expected to miss a month with a fractured jaw.
