Terry McLaurin somehow makes amazing catch after missile hit from Jordan Whitehead

The Washington Football team made the big plays when they needed to in their stunning 29-19 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sunday. One of those clutch plays was star wide receiver Terry McLaurin on Washington’s game-clinching final drive.

Facing a third down with five yards to go from the Bucs’ 15-yard line, Washington was looking for a first down to seal the win. McLaurin snagged a six-yard slant from quarterback Taylor Heinicke. Somehow McLaurin held on to the football despite taking a missile-like hit from Buccaneers safety Jordan Whitehead.

Whitehead appeared to make contact shoulder pads-to-shoulder pads. The bang-bang play looked brutal. However, McLaurin avoided major injury and held on for the crucial first down.

That’s all while having cornerback Jamel Dean draped over him. After being untangled, McLaurin hopped up and pounded his chest to show he wasn’t phased.

All Whitehead could do was bang the turf in disappointment. Washington finished the impressive 19-play drive with a touchdown four plays later.
