The Washington Football Team has signed fullback Alex Armah to their practice squad.
Alex Armah is yet another player with ties to Washington head coach Ron Rivera, going back to his days with the Carolina Panthers. Armah was originally drafted by the Panthers in 2017.
He spent four seasons with the Panthers, including three under Rivera. Armah appeared in 57 games with Carolina.
He appeared in nine games with the New Orleans Saints this season. However, the Saints released Armah on Monday.
Washington added him just three days later. The addition of Armah comes as Washington has gained their identity on offense as a ball control run scheme. Could Washington be looking to pound the ball more?
His addition also comes after running back JD McKissic suffered a concussion in Monday night’s win against the Seattle Seahawks.
