The Washington Football Team will be without two key players for Sunday’s game at the Las Vegas Raiders. Safety Landon Collins has been ruled out with a foot injury. Running back JD McKissic is out with a concussion.
Collins was injured on the final possession of Monday’s win over the Seattle Seahawks. McKissic also was injured late in the fourth quarter on a scary hit by Seahawks cornerback Quandre Diggs. McKissic was carted off the field.
Neither Collins nor McKissic practice this week.
Collins has thrived in his new linebacker/safety hybrid role in recent weeks. Against Seattle, he forced a key fumble. His absence was felt immediately after his injury, as Russell Wilson threw a late touchdown picking on his replacement Deshazor Everett that gave Seattle a chance to tie and send the game into overtime.
McKissic has been an integral part in Washington’s surging ball control offense. He scored two touchdowns against Seattle. On the season, McKissic is second on the team with 43 reception and 397 receiving yards.
Washington will also be without offensive lineman Wes Schweitzer (ankle). Guard Ereck Flowers (foot), wide receiver Curtis Samuel (groin), Ricky Seals-Jones (hip) and center Tyler Larsen (knee) are listed as questionable.
