Kyle Kuzma waves goodbye to Pistons fans after game-winning three

Washington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma grew up an hour away from Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena in nearby Flint, Michigan. That’s why his game-winning three in overtime to clip the Pistons Wednesday night was extra sweet.

After hitting the game-winner to lift the Wizards to a 119-116 win, Kuzma waved the Pistons fans goodnight.

Kuzma had a big night in all playing in his home state. He finished with a team-high 26 points with seven rebounds and four assists.

What made the night even more special is the fact his mother was in the arena to see her son’s big game.

Following the win, Kuzma explained why he waved at the Pistons fans.

“I had to tell ’em… It’s time to go,” Kuzma said during the NBC Sports Washington post-game.
