The Washington Football Team was banged and bruised when Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys was over. That included Washington quarterback Taylor Heinicke, who left the game in the fourth quarter with a knee injury.
Heinicke and Washington center Tyler Larsen were injured on the same play. A cart came out for Larsen. But Heinicke was able to eventually walk off the field on his own. However, as he walked off, the QB spotted and picked up a pair of scissors from the playing field.
Crazy and yet scary to consider. There were team trainers on the field to attend to both injuries. Hopefully, the scissors were placed there during the sequence and not lingered on the field beforehand. Fortunately, no one was hurt and Heinicke spotted the cutters.
