Kyle Kuzma drains pair of daggers to lift Wizards over Knicks

Kyle Kuzma is getting the knack in knocking to be count on when the Washington Wizards need a clutch shot.

Thursday against the New York Knicks, Kuzma came through a pair of daggers with back-to-back threes, sealing the Wizards 124-117 win.

Only thing missing was Wizards’ legendary commentator Steve Buckhantz calling his patented “Dagger!”

This time Kuzma didn’t wave off the MSG crowd like he did back in Detroit.

Kuzma finished ith 18 points and 10 rebounds. Spencer Dinwiddie led the Wizards with 21 points, 12 assists and seven rebounds. Their effort countered a 44-point performance from Knicks guard Kemba Walker.

The Wizards were without star guard Bradley Beal. Beal was placed in the league’s healthy and safety protocols prior to tip-off. He joined teammate Kentavious Caldwell-Pope with COVID-19 issues.
