Things have unraveled for the Washington Football Team against the Dallas Cowboys. Down 28-7, teammates Jonathan Allen and Daron Payne got in a heated exchange on the sideline that led to Allen throwing a punch at Payne.
It’s unclear what sparked the situation. But it escalated when Payne stood up and appeared to point his finger in the face of Allen. That’s when Allen threw the punch.
Teammates broke up the melee. Payne was visibly upset and had to be calmed down afterwards.
NBC Sports commentator Chris Collinsworth called the incident “embarrassing.”
Payne continued to yell at Allen even after being separated.

Both Payne and Allen have been teammates for quite some time going back to their time together at Alabama. Washington selected both in the first round in back-to-back years. Allen was picked in 2017. Payne was selected in 2018.
