Commanders

Washington Football’s potential new hashtag revealed?

All roads point to Washington Commanders being the new name of the Washington Football Team. The official reveal is set for Wednesday morning. However, numerous leaks from images, videos, domain registrations and merchandise suggests the Commanders being the new moniker for Washington.

Even still, the new uniforms, logo and branding are still a mystery until Wednesday. But just like the name, the team’s new hashtag may have surfaced on the internet.

Are you ready to #takecommand Washington Commanders fans?

Supposed merchandise such as shirts have also leaked over the internet. This item shows the team’s new hashtag as #takecommand.

A message appears on the packaging of the apparent merchandise:

“We need a team of leaders in every arena to help make this next era truly epic. They need to be bold and confident and they’ve gotta have some swag. We want you to rep us. Let’s lead together. #Takecommand.”

It’s no #HTTR and much better than #washingtonfootball. The potential hashtag has a nice ring to it. However, it’s not the first time some football fans have heard the #takecommand or Commanders name.

The San Antonio Commanders of the now defunct Alliance of American Football used the name Commanders and the #takecommand hashtag for it’s lone season of existence.

Well no one said you had to be original. All that matters is it cleared trademark issues.

With that said, Washington Commanders fans are YOU ready to #takecommand?
